Dog-Prejudiced Article
What the hell with the prejudice with dogs har? All worms, all parasites, all blame it on the dogs. How about cats? Hamsters? Rabbits? They are not all clean and 'suci' anyway.
ESPECIALLY CATS. Can you imagine how many parasites they can give to a child, more ever even for pregnant women and adult men themselves!
There's TOXOPLASMOSIS. I really need to trash on the person who wrote this dog-biased article. HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT IT? DO YOU EVEN CARE that the cats are the most common animal (I know some even kept up to 20 strays in a small terrace house!) that carry the eggs for this disease? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT CAN DO? Do a survey on all the blind babies in the maternity wards in Malaysia. See how many were borned by mothers who kept cats and have direct contact with their cat's shit. See the connection? TOXOPLASMOSIS can cause unborn babies to blind, to suffer from severe brain damage, their moms having abortions, and adults to have brain disorders especially those who are immune-suppressed. Heck, you could be having the eggs now even! It's just a timebomb waiting to explode okay. Go watch House M.D. season 2, see the episode where the politician suffer from toxo.
And dogs are not the only culprit carrying hookworms and tapeworms, in fact cats play a huge role too, since cat owners tend to bath them lesser compared to dogs. 'Takut flu-lah, takut sakit-lah", does it even occur to you that you are helping the cat to harbour more fleas (which are the main carriers for tapeworm eggs) and by letting them to roam around the neighbourhood, you are also the culprit in helping to spread those eggs around? It's such a bitch that dogs have to be tagged, licensed, caged and leashed, when the cats themselves do not need to.
And another one. How about getting bitten and scratched by cats, only to get very sick the next few weeks (or even months!) with very big lymph nodes? That, my friend, is SPOROTRICHOSIS. One of the staff in the hospital here once came down severely with this for weeks, only to be later identified to be suffering from this disease. How about seeing kids crying their heads of with this huh?
Don't get me wrong. I am a proud owner of a cat myself, more again a domestic stray kitten. I know the risks, and lessen it not only for myself, but for those who are living around my house area. I don't let her stray out of the house, trained her to defecate at a proper place, get the proper medical attention and now she's a well-behaved obedient though sometimes mischiveous crazy cat. I just hate it, stress it again, HATE IT when ill-informed miseducated idiots (*hint**hint*, no racist accounts here okay) blame everything their child has on the dogs. If you think they are not meant to be here on earth, then why God created them in the first place HUH!?
Guna otak lah sikit oi.
