Never forget the sacrifice of life before the celebration of love, which is why Catholic crosses still have Jesus crucified on the cross (and the cause of questions asked by many Protestants).
And no, we do not worship the culture of death. Celebrating Easter Sunday without remembering the crucifixion of Christ is equivalent to denying that Jesus never died on the cross, and in turn denying that Jesus do not rise from the dead.
It is like celebrating someone's birthday, but only that the person has not been born.
So remember the day when Jesus, the Son of God, lay down His life, so everyone in this world, His descendants may continue to live.
